How You Can Help

Many Ways to Help Tent City Helpers

A donation to Tent City Helpers goes directly to serving the people that find themselves homeless in Martin County. We are a non-profit, state registered, 501 (c) (3) that has no paid employees and only a storage unit as overhead. The volunteers are passionate about the issues that the homeless face in Martin County and use the donated dollars to directly impact our homeless residents.

Specific Needs

  • We deliver to the homeless weekly basic camping gear. We appreciate any donations of new or gently used of the following:
  • New or gently used Tents
  • New or gently used Sleeping bags
  • Bug Spray
  • Batteries
  • Flashlights/Lanterns
  • Tarps
  • New Socks, Boxers

Snack Packs

Volunteer to assemble nutritious Snack Packs. Organize a group of friends, church members, youths or work colleagues to collect and assemble a month’s supply (150) of Snack Packs, consisting of a gallon size zip-lock bag packed with shelf stable items that don’t require refrigeration: raisins, fruit cups, crackers, Ramen noodles, chips, protein bars, tinned meat, sardines, tuna foil packs, snack pots of peanut butter, etc. Include one protein item  and avoid hard crunchy granola bars, canned foods should have pull-lids. Call us to organize drop off.
